You're in. Welcome to Real Deal Fundraising.

Your first email is on its way. While you wait, here's something you can use right now.

I started Real Deal Fundraising because I kept watching the same thing happen.

Brilliant, mission-driven organizations working incredibly hard — and still not building the fundraising culture their work deserved. Not because they didn't care. Because the structure wasn't there. Because the board wasn't fully in it. Because nobody could say the hard things out loud.
That's the gap I work in.

Every newsletter I send is built around one goal: giving you something real you can actually use. No filler. No fluff. Just honest tools, practical frameworks, and straight talk about what actually moves boards from avoidance to ownership.

That first email lands soon. In the meantime, I want to give you a head start.

Start here.

The Real Deal Fundraising Engagement Guide walks through how I think about this work — why most fundraising challenges aren't about effort, what shared ownership of fundraising actually looks like in practice, and whether my approach might be the right fit for your organization.
It's not a sales pitch. It's an honest look at my philosophy and my process, so you can decide for yourself.

Already know you need help with this?

Some people subscribe because they're curious. Some subscribe because they're already in the thick of it — a board that won't move, a development director carrying too much, a fundraising culture that needs to change and isn't changing fast enough.

If that's where you are right now, you don't have to wait for six emails to find out if this is a fit.

A Board Fundraising Alignment Call is 30 minutes and it's complimentary. We'll look at where your board is getting stuck, what's driving it, and what needs to shift first. No pressure. Just clarity.
Jessica Cloud, CFRE has spent more than 20 years helping nonprofit CEOs and board chairs build fundraising cultures that last without burning out the staff who make it happen.
